On January 8, 2021, Twin Bridges School was notified that a middle school student and a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. According to the Madison County Public Health Department, the District’s staff and students were in contact with the affected student during the period of possible exposure. The student attended school last on Tuesday January 5 and the staff member on Monday January 4.
Twin Bridges School and Madison County Public Health are in regular contact to ensure that the district is taking all precautions to reduce the chance of COVID-19 spread in the school. Please be assured that the safety of your child is our top priority.
We are working with Public Health to work through the case tracing of close contacts and other possible protocols to establish at the school as a result of this incident. If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, Public Health will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.
It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. The School District is in contact with the Health Department and reviewing the Centers for Disease Control guidance to complete cleaning the school and other related facilities.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
