Dear Parents and Guardians,
This message provides information about parent teacher conferences that are being held next Thursday, November 5th, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Early K thru grade 4 will have in-person conferences. For the safety of our staff and families, only one parent may attend the in-person 15 minute conference. On this night, we are asking that children do not attend the conference. Temperature checks will be taken at the elementary school door entrance. Please wait outside until your scheduled appointment and leave the building after your conference. Face coverings will be required if Madison County has 4 or more active cases. Please notify the teacher if you prefer a phone call or virtual conference. Teachers will be sending home more information about conference times.
Parents of students in grades 5-12, we invite you to join us virtually for our Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. For our virtual format, each teacher will have an open Zoom meeting link for the duration of the afternoon and evening. Parents will enter into the Zoom waiting room and the teacher will meet with parents individually in the order in which they enter the queue. Unfortunately, parents will not have any indication of what order they are in and/or how much more time remains before the teacher connects with them. Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to contact teachers at any point in time to inquire about your child. A few days before the Zoom call, families will be emailed the link and password so they can connect with the teacher.
Regardless of the format, please plan on attending conferences this year as it will provide you with some valuable insights into your child’s progress in school.
On the evening of October 7, 2020, the Twin Bridges School District was notified that an individual associated with the school district had tested positive for COVID-19. Also on the evening of October 7, 2020, Madison County Health Department placed some staff and students under quarantine.
At this time, Twin Bridges School District remains open.
If you do not receive a call from the Madison County Health Department, then your child has not been identified as a close contact and is not quarantined.
If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, the Madison County Health Department will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. The School District is in contact with the Health Department and reviewing the Centers for Disease Control guidance. School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
Sincerely,
Thad Kaiser, Superintendent
Once again the art program here at the school has received another generous donation by one of our community members. Patty Nelson with the help of her firm Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co, PC recently provided a broad range of different art supplies and we are both, excited as well as grateful for the possibilities this kind gesture has allowed the program and all the students here at Twin Bridges District. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Twin Bridges School District wants to make sure and offer
this financial assistance to as many children and families in our
district as possible. Thank you for your time and attention.
Here at Twin Bridges School we take pride in our students, staff, and community members. The school community as a whole works to better the district in any way they are able and willing. Most recently, a student has gone above and beyond expectations and has generously purchased supplies for the Art Program. In true fashion of integrity, she has asked to remain anonymous, and that request will be honored. However, a multitude of thanks are in store for this selfless act.
Along with this particular student, many parents also deserve an abundant amount of praise and gratitude for the ways they have contributed to Twin Bridges Schools. We are proud to have you on board, and we thank you for your efforts.
Appreciatively,
Ms. Teri Meier & all Art students
Twin Bridges School will be having a book sale along with other items on the front lawn. This will be taking place the same date and time of the open house. Come take a peek sees after you visit your teachers!
MHSA released its guidelines to return to fall activities this morning, July 27, 2020. The MHSA guideline documents are available at this link on our school website.
The board agenda for the special board meeting on July 23, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. is linked here. The school reentry plan is part of the agenda.
Sports Physicals
The school received a call from the Ruby Valley Medical Clinic today and want to remind student athletes to get their physicals done ASAP & not wait til August when they might not be able to get an appointment. Physical forms are available at the school office.
Twin Bridges High School Traffic Education
As we bring students back to the campus, we have developed the following plan to help mitigate the risks associated with possible exposure and spread of COVID-19. This plan is based on recommendations from ADTSEA and the Jefferson County Health Department.
The overall intention of the Traffic Education program is to give students the best foundation possible as new drivers. That said, the immediate health and well being of the students, instructor, and all others involved takes priority. All State and County Guidelines will be followed and changes to these adopted policies will be made as needed by the school administration, school board, and instructor. These practices have been adopted to help minimize risks, however are not a guarantee and each student and family should fully consider the risks involved prior to participating in the program.
The first day of traffic education will be July 13th. There will be a parent meeting the week before (date and time to be determined). Due to the possible exposure and spread of COVID-19, participation will be limited to Twin Bridges students only.
