We have a new student teacher here at Twin Bridges Schools. and she has provided us with an introductory letter to be shared. Help us welcome her into the schools as well as the community.
To Parents, Guardians, and Families:
Hello! My name is Katy Long, and I am student teaching with Ms. Meier and Mr. Dawson this spring. Grade and subject wise, I am observing and working with seniors in Government, English, and AP English; juniors in AP English; sophomores in World History and English; and seventh graders in Geography. I have spent the past two weeks observing and getting to know the students, and am excited to start working more directly with them in the near future. I am confident I will learn just as much from them as they will from me.
I grew up on a farm/ranch in north central Montana. I attended preschool through grade 12 at Highwood Public Schools in Highwood, Montana. I am very excited to be working and living in a small community once again. At the conclusion of this semester, I will graduate from the University of Montana in Missoula, where I have studied English and History with a concentration in Secondary Education.
I am excited to work with and support the Twin Bridges students as they complete this spring semester.

Montana School Bus Laws
Let’s give our children a “brake.” Every child is a human caution sign and as unpredictable as Montana’s weather. Upon meeting or passing from either direction any school bus stopped with its red lights flashing, the driver of a vehicle must stop at least 30 feet from the bus and cannot proceed until the red lights are turned off. If you approach a bus from either direction that is slowing down in preparation to stop to load passengers, or a bus displaying a yellow flashing light, you must slow down and proceed carefully. Keep in mind that the bus is about to stop and children may be in the road.
When driving past a school, slow down and watch for children DAY and NIGHT. Kids go back to use the playground at all hours. Develop the habit of checking your speed when nearing any school. BE ALERT.
Trustee Vacancy – Twin Bridges Public School District
LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Montana Codes Annotated, the appointment of one (1) trustee position for the Twin Bridges Public School District will take place at the regular board meeting scheduled for January 11, 2022 at 7:00 pm.
The term for the position is until May 2022. Interested parties must be of voting age, reside within the Twin Bridges Public School District, and submit a letter of interest to the District Clerk at no later than 4:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022. Interviews will take place January 11, 2022 at the regular board meeting.
